We're Setting Up for Wreath Season 2008

Here in West Glover the leaves have changed into their brilliant gold, orange and red fall colors.  There is a definite chill in the air, and we may see snow on the mountaintops tonight.  We are getting organized for our 32nd wreath season.  Wreath makers and brush cutters are calling in.  Our shop will start October 27 with cedar and pine, while we wait for three hard frosts to set the needles on the balsam before we start cutting that brush.  In the office this year we will have Judy and Patty, who are familiar to our old customers, and now Maria, our young neighbor who has moved back home after college and world exploration.  She began her career with Northeast Kingdom Balsam with all the other neighborhood kids twisting berries, stuffing envelopes (with root beer floats for refreshments), and collecting pine cones.  Our daughter Meg, who worked in the office last year, designed our new website, and is off to California for the year studying Scientific Illustration.  Welcome to our updated site.  You may have noticed that prices remain the same as last year.  We are trying to do our part to keep inflation down.  We'll keep you posted as the season gets going.  Peggy
